PREVIOUS WORKS ABOUT THE LANDSCAPE

La Señorita Blanco’s pieces are characterized by a studied aesthetic invoice not for that reason devoid of philosophical content. Beyond the first layer of plastic exploration the pieces hide historical, cultural, social and political questions that appeal directly to the viewer.
In her own words: “I consider myself a multidisciplinary artist: I make the plastic materials for the pieces myself in my studio from natural materials, I design and make the sculptures and masks, I work on the sound of the pieces together with my composer, I write the texts, I direct the movement of the bodies, I introduce my own body on stage... I understand the pieces in their totality and I compose them in a way that is closer to a plastic work than to a performative work.
I need to immerse myself in the whole process, I can't do it any other way. At the end, what I seek is that my pieces are observed from the same mental and emotional state that we humans observe nature, without expectation and surrendering ourselves to nature.”
